RE-purposed Antique Ship's Treble-Block on Hatch Cover Base

We recently acquired this late 19th century treble block, re-purposed many years ago into a nautical table lamp. This

 rare surviving block features wood sheaves (probably lignum vitae) and iron strappings. The block is mounted on to an end section of a WWII Liberty ship hatch cover with half cup cut-out and metal clasp. Both the block and hatch base were refinished in an amber patina.  The hatch base measures 8 1/2 X 16 inches and stands 30 1/2 inches tall to the top of the shade (as shown). Weighs approx. 30 pounds.  A n exceptional old seafaring ships block nautical table lamp that would certainly light up your nautical room and coastal home.
